As the end of summer comes close...Here are a few things I have been thinking of...

* It is necessary for one to take a break in between partying.

* Biogesic is still the best hangover cure.

* Great friends will be around for you, no matter what...except if you start screaming at them and accusing them of making out with your ex. They will leave you at an after hours club if you do.

* People will always talk no matter what you do so just do whatever the hell it is you wanna do.

* Never leave your apartment too long, you lose a big chunk of your identity when you do.

* Cuddling with a puppy can do wonders for your mood.

* Bottled water is your friend (in very many, many ways).

* Happy hour was created so that everyone is on the same level of drunkenness.

* 80 cent drinks on Monday night is a God send.

* Make sure you lock the door of a bathroom in a club when you bring someone there.

And lastly....KNOW exactly when to LEAVE a club.

It has been 4 days since Christian and I picked up our new dog, Chiyo at the airport.

She has pooped on my foot once, peed on the carpet countless times, eaten my flip flops to near extinction. She has also slept with me 4 nights and I have never slept better. She is the best cuddler ever and everyone knows I never let anyone sleep with me for anytime longer than 4 a.m.

She's originally from Missouri and she left the kennel she was born in and is now living with my best friend here in S.F. I think she's adjusting quite well. I was concerned that she'd be traumatized from the trip since she did come here in a crate and placed in cargo. Apparently, I have nothing to be concerned about since she's a major attention whore. It took me ten whole minutes to get through one block in the Castro since she was more than willing to talk to the fans.

Woof!

The summer is almost done and I'd like to think it's been a very good summer.

The problem is I can hardly remember what we've done due to the massive vats of alcohol we have consumed. What I can do is at least try to do it in bulletpoints.

* Gay Days in Disney

* Having a great new set of friends!

* Throwing these huge parties at Christians.

* Actual tanning and not needing to buy it.

* Finally getting a car.

* and...Getting a new dog with my best friend!

Pics of Chiyo to follow...

So after a whole month of waiting and agonizing over a much needed vacation, June 1, finally came and it was time to board a plane to Gay Days at Disney in Florida.

Abai and I left at 6 a.m. and finally arrived in Florida at 4:30 p.m., Robin met us and we went to our hotel. Ethan joined us and then Eric came, and then John, and finally Noel the next day.

The picture above is my last recollection of the whole weekend. It was party after party after party. We literally did not eat for 3 days, except for protein bars and an orange or whatever fruit was available. I literally had 3 grapes on one of those days. The following days were just filled with pool parties and afterhours parties.

The pool parties were great because it was pretty mellow and u can just prance around almost naked and nobody would give a fuck. Good friends, good music, nonchalance, non judgment...I say all would constitute for a great weekend.

Now if I can only remember actual events.....See ya next year!

It's funny how lj users suddenly stop posting things after a traumatic thing such as death or a break up. What's funnier is that I thought I'd be exempt from doing such a thing.

My original plan of attack was to keep on posting normal everyday things to show (mostly prove) that I literally just got right on track right after this. The truth is it was pretty difficult. I had to go through the usual process of excessive amounts of alcohol and "other" things, random sex romps, hollow dates, and of course, having to deal with the repercussions of sharing a good amount of common friends. Ironically enough, here I am reporting it anyway jammed into one paragraph.

So fast forward to the here and now. I'm still standing, humbled, but still up. Nothing much to report...

Except a few things:

* Am headed to Florida for a vacation! Will be meeting Robin and his partner, and Tim and his partner. I am so excited to see them again. Thankfully, there will be cameras because I'm sure we will be so fucked up that the only way to remember the weekend would be through the pics.

* Been going to the gym training like crazy. I mean really, who in the right frame of mind would go to Florida for gay days without preparing for it? That would just be murder/suicide.

I wish it were June already....argh.

After 2 months of dating the same guy, commitment and all, it is now over.

Brian casually told me after dinner Friday night, that he wasn't ready and that the reality of his last relationship ending has just started to dawn on him and that he has emotionally shut down. Translation: You were the rebound guy.

After he just said this speech, all I could say was: Okay, well you gotta do what you gotta do. Translation: You're a fucking piece of shit asshole.

What surprises me is that how someone can convince me to get rid of my commitment issues and actually gamble on someone in the worst situation. Meanwhile, San Francisco is crawling with single guys. I, of course, had to pick someone who was on the tail end of a relationship.

I then proceeded to place all his belongings in a garbage bag and handed it to him. all I could say was, "Just like that?" which was then responded by a weak, "I'm sorry". It was then followed by a view of the back of his head as he walked away.

Lessons learned:

Keep away from people who currently have boyfriends.

You cannot plan a future with someone whose past is his present.

And lastly: even while in a relationship, do not let go and eat everything you want cause you never know when you'll be back in the market again. Thank God, I didn't.

NEXT!

This year has definitely made up for missing my birthday a year ago in NY. It was exactly a year ago when I decided to move to San Francisco.

I got to celebrate twice this time. One was thrown by my very good friend Christian when he threw a birthday dinner for me and a few friends at his fabulous place.

It was an intimate event basically a few of my friends saying a whole bunch of inappropriate things. Surprise! My favorite was from Mattea, saying, "Is Christian Filipino? Funny, he's too hot to be Filipino...(sadly it was said to me. - Fucking bitch. haha.)

The next day, Brian and I flew to NY. This time it was Ivana who threw me a party. She got me this tiered cupcake thingy which was great. I got to blow twice this year. If you know what I mean.

It was really great to see everyone who meant something to me. While of course, everyone was drunk, it didn't matter. They were sober when they chose to come and celebrate my special day with me.

While I don't miss living in NY, I do miss all the relationships I've formed there with my friends. the good thing is, I honestly feel like I didn't miss a beat with my friends. They're all still the fun, crazy, caring bitches I've grown to love.

Meanwhile, I have new fun, crazy, caring bitches to hang out with.

So I have been gone for months.

I don't know what happened,I guess I just got too self involved that I didn't really have anything interesting to say nor be in touch with myself.

The last 3 months have been a blur of hard core partying and serial dating. What a shocker...

I realized tons of things:

1. A place is not supposed to influence you, you are supposed influence a place.
2. You cannot run away from a lifestyle.
3. Being gay is not just having sex with the same sex, it IS a lifestyle.
4. Myspace eats TONS of your time.

In other news...

I am going back to NY for my birthday and I am thrilled. I can't wait to see my friends, and how much San Francisco has changed me. If any, that is.

So every year, I look forward to this one occassion where you don't have to explain why you look like an ass. You just are. Nuff said.

This year we went to Metropolis where the theme was superheroes. I, of course, being a pisces decided to be Aquaman. Green sequined speedo and all. Of course it was cold but who really cared? There was enough alcohol in me to numb it anyway.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

My friend Gin from New York flew in with her new husband, Jeff. They were Cosmic Racer Girl and Captain Six Pack. He didn't really have a six pack but he had 6 containers of Whipped Cream which were a hit at the party. That was the only thing I had to eat all day becuase of what my costume entailed. Sonny, the newest SF transplant came as a fallen angel. Do those leather shorts look familiar? haha. Another friend, Grant, came costume-less but when he saw all of us dressing up, he decided to be glitter man. Which basically, he took his shirt off and just spread glitter all over himself. He got the most fucked up.

After meeting at my place for a few drinks, we went to the Castro and had more drinks at B.O.C. I met, "Puto Bandido" there...BANG, BANG!

All in all, it was a great halloween. Good friends, Good drinks...and a hot cowboy. How can Aquaman go wrong?

Till next year....

It's funny how when we expect the worst, more often than not, we're just being paranoid. At least that's the case for me.

I invited my mom and stepdad to have brunch at the place I work. We have this thing called, "Sunday's a drag". They have a great spread of food, and of course a show filled with sequins, chiffon and glitter. It's hosted by Donna Sachet and she has a gang of other drag queens performing.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

It really is no big deal when you invite your parents to these things, but then again, my stepdad is a pastor. And of course, it being a Sunday, they came from Church.

As it turns out, he had the most fun. It was his idea to actually get pictures taken with the "ladies". While my mom just laughed along.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

One of the people I work with were constantly asking how my parents were doing, I just looked at them and told her, "Uh hello, I AM their son you know". I really should have told myself more that.

It was a great Sunday.
